Setting Up Success Profiles
Success Profiles define the traits, behaviors, and values of your ideal hire. They're used to evaluate and score applicants for specific jobs. Start with our data-backed defaults or create your own for each role.
Overview
Use Success Profiles to standardize what "great" looks like for a role. Profiles inform evaluation and scoring so managers can quickly identify best-fit applicants.
Create a Success Profile
- Go to Company Settings.
- Navigate to the Success Profiles tab.
- Click Create a New Success Profile.
- Enter a clear name for the profile (e.g., "Crew Member – Reliability First").
- Complete the following fields:
- Personality: Ideal traits (e.g., punctual, dependable, follows through on tasks).
- Needs: Motivators that drive success (e.g., recognition for reliability and quality work).
- Values: Core values for the role (e.g., teamwork, efficiency, accountability).
Pro tip: Naming & versioning
Use a consistent naming pattern with version numbers, e.g., "Cashier – Customer Service Focus v1.2". This helps track iterations.
Save the Profile
Click Save. Your Success Profile is now available to apply to jobs.
Apply a Success Profile to Jobs
- Go to the Jobs tab.
- Click into the job you want to update.
- Open Job Settings.
- Toggle Use Success Profile to ON.
- Select the Success Profile you created.
- Click Save.
Does this affect current applicants?
No. It applies to new applicants after the change.
